附1：作者是一位普通的美国妇女，她的丈夫应征去了越南战场，后来阵亡了。她终身守寡，直至年老病逝。她的女儿在整理去世母亲遗物的时候，发现了这首她的母亲写给战死越南的父亲写的诗。很多人的爱情就是这样，平平淡淡，朴实，甚至琐碎，但也就是这样的爱情，让人值得用一生去期待，去怀念，去守候，爱情其实就是这么简单，就是这样短短的一句话——可是，你没有！！！
附2：我将”but”翻译成“可是”而不是“但是”，因为“可”是三声，读起来更有哽咽感，我又在“可是”和“你没有”之间加了逗号，既是放慢这里的语速，是停顿，也是突出和强调“你没有”的那份宽容与爱。
